- Posted on June 25, 2026 Published By Rosemary Salinas Trillium Drivers is now hiring experienced Generator or Diesel Mechanics in the Dallas area! This role consists of working out of town for about 4 weeks at a time and coming home for 4 weeks Mon-Sun. Morning and night shifts are available depending on the job, 7am-7pm or 7pm-7am. Pay is between $25/hour
- 40/hourly plus OT after 40 hours. Hotel or Air B & B is paid for by the company, and you will also receive per diem to help out with food expense. If interested in this position, please apply today! Key Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance on standby and mobile diesel generators.
- Diagnose and repair mechanical, electrical, and control system issues.
- Utilize computer diagnostic tools and software to troubleshoot faults and monitor performance.
- Conduct load bank testing and operational checks.
- Install and commission generators, transfer switches, and associated equipment.
- Respond to scheduled service calls and emergency breakdowns.
- Maintain detailed service reports, work orders, and documentation.
- Communicate with dispatch and customers regarding job status and recommendations.
- Follow all company and site-specific safety procedures.
- Keep service vehicle, tools, and test equipment in clean, safe working condition. Apply now! Required Qualifications
- 2+ years' experience as a generator technician, diesel mechanic, or similar role
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, electrical systems, and controls
- Proficient with computer-based diagnostic tools
- Ability to read wiring diagrams, fault codes, and service manuals
- Valid driver's license with clean driving record
- Ability to pass background check and drug screening
- Comfortable working independently in the field
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with brands such as Cummins, Caterpillar, Kohler, Generac, John Deere, MTU
- Experience with ATS (Automatic Transfer Switches)
- Load bank testing experience
- OEM certifications or factory training
