Job Description

Determine vehicle condition by inspections and diagnostic tests. Able to identify issues such as electrical problems, worn and damaged parts. Correct vehicle deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics. Complete machine shop operations such as making adjustments and alignments (including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units) Comply with federal and state vehicle requirements by testing engine, safety, and combustion control standards. Maintain vehicle appearance by cleaning and washing in both inside and outside. Maintain shop equipment and tools organized and ready to be used anytime. Maintain constant vehicle records by filling in the work order completely and punctually. Communicate with fleet manager about equipment availability and supplies status on daily basis. Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical and regulation publication. Candidate Qualifications Valid driver's license required (CDL is a plus but not required) Minimum of 1-5 year experience with truck repair Able to pass a background check including drug screening and criminal background check. Able to work in a fast-paced, high-energy environment. Ability to follow instruction and work extra hours (night shift is a plus but not required) Welding experience preferred. Hydraulics experience required. Spanish is a plus, but not required. Benefits Medical, Dental 401k after probation period Paid vacation after one year.
