Job Description

Overview We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in the maintenance and repair of diesel engines and heavy equipment. This role requires a strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot various mechanical issues. The Diesel Mechanic will be responsible for ensuring that all vehicles and equipment are operating efficiently and safely. Duties Perform routine maintenance on diesel engines, including oil changes, filter replacements, and fluid checks. Diagnose and repair mechanical issues in tractors, trailers. Conduct automotive diagnostics to identify problems with electrical systems, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for repairs and fabrication tasks. Read and interpret schematics to troubleshoot electrical systems and mechanical components. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs. Maintain accurate records of repairs and services performed on vehicles and equipment. Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing heavy lifting and operating machinery. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive or heavy equipment repair environments. Familiarity with farm machinery, industrial equipment, and automotive repair practices is preferred. Experience with vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repair, alignment, shocks & struts replacement, tire service, assembly, and equipment repair. Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to operate heavy equipment safely. Electrical experience is a plus; soldering skills are also beneficial for certain repairs. Dealership experience is highly regarded but not mandatory.
