Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced General Truck and Trailer Diesel Mechanic to inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel-powered trucks and trailers. This position is responsible for ensuring equipment is safe, dependable, and operating efficiently in compliance with company standards and DOT regulations.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel trucks and trailers.
- Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and preventive maintenance inspections.
- Repair or replace engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, and other drivetrain components.
- Inspect and repair trailer components including brakes, axles, air systems, lighting, and suspension.
- Use diagnostic tools, service manuals, and computer-based systems to troubleshoot issues.
- Conduct DOT inspections and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Maintain accurate service and repair records.
- Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean, organized work area.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding repair status and parts needs.
- Experience with PACCAR engines and DPF systems
- Able to work on wheel seals on both trucks and trailers. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a diesel mechanic (truck and trailer experience required)
- Strong knowledge of diesel engines, air brake systems, electrical systems, and hydraulics
- Ability to read and understand technical manuals and schematics.
- Own basic hand tools (specialty tools provided by employer, if applicable)
- Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.
- Ability to lift up to 50-75 lbs. and work in a shop environment. Work Schedule

Monday-Friday 08:00 to 17:00 and Saturday 08:00 to 12:00 unless otherwise specified by shop manager. Pay
