In this role, you will leverage your expertise in diesel engine diagnostics, heavy equipment maintenance, and mechanical repairs to keep our fleet operating at peak performance. Whether working on construction machinery, farm equipment, or industrial vehicles, your skills will ensure safety, reliability, and efficiency across our operations. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components using schematics and OEM specifications. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and HVAC servicing to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair requirements. Service a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and construction machinery to maximize operational uptime. Troubleshoot electrical and automotive systems utilizing electrical diagnostics tools and automotive diagnostics procedures to identify issues accurately. Assist with assembly or disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Maintain detailed service records, complete shift reports, and document all repair activities for accountability and future reference. Experience Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with a strong background in heavy equipment maintenance and repair. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with OEM parts and service standards. Skilled in fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; capable of customizing or repairing parts as needed. Hands-on experience working with construction machinery including excavators, cranes, loaders, and farm equipment like tractors. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for electrical systems and mechanical components. Knowledge of diesel engine diagnostics, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension alignment, HVAC systems, tire service, and vehicle electrical troubleshooting. Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently; experience with heavy lifting is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by excellent customer service skills to communicate effectively with team members and clients alike.
