In this energetic role, you will utilize your mechanical expertise to diagnose, troubleshoot, and service diesel engines, industrial machinery, and heavy equipment. Your skills will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability across various operational environments. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge tools and technologies while contributing to the seamless operation of fleet and machinery assets. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and electrical components using OEM schematics and automotive diagnostics tools. Conduct routine maintenance including oil changes, tire service, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and fluid replacements to keep equipment running smoothly. Repair and fabricate parts for excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and other heavy equipment utilizing hand tools, power tools, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques. Assemble new equipment components and perform preventive maintenance on industrial equipment to minimize downtime. Operate heavy machinery such as excavators or forklifts during repairs or testing procedures to ensure proper functionality. Interpret technical schematics and OEM manuals for precise troubleshooting and repair procedures. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair status clearly and ensuring work is completed efficiently and safely. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a focus on diesel engine repair within a dealership or industrial environment. Familiarity with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors-trailers, and farm machinery. Strong knowledge of automotive diagnostics systems combined with mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, electrical wiring, and suspension components. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques such as welding and soldering; ability to use power tools effectively. Ability to read schematics accurately and follow OEM specifications for repairs. Experience working with various types of industrial equipment and heavy machinery in fast-paced settings. Excellent problem-solving skills paired with a safety-first mindset; physical capability for heavy lifting and working in confined spaces is essential.
