Fort Worth, TX Schedule :
2nd Shift - Monday thru Friday, 7:00pm to 10:00pm with availability to be on call and work Saturday if necessary
Compensation :
$24+/hr. (based on experience) + full benefits I dealease with Southwest International Trucks is hiring a highly skilled Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician for the McKinney area. The Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician will have a full-time schedule, with access to full benefits and company incentives.
Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician Responsibilities:
Manage inventory control on the mobile truck and keep the vehicle properly stocked. Maintain availability for after-hours service calls and be available for an open work schedule. Respond to customer inquiries regarding the work. Foster positive customer relations. Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards. Diagnoses malfunctions and perform repair. Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts. Saves and tags parts of the job if under warranty or if requested by the customer. Examines assigned vehicle to determine if further safety or service work is required or recommended Communicate with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time. Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order. Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events. Reports machinery defects or malfunctions to supervisor. Ensures that customers' trucks are kept clean. Notifies service advisor immediately of anything that has happened to change the appearance or condition of the vehicle. Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations, such as hazardous waste disposal, OSHA Right-to-Know, etc. Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner. Reports any safety issues immediately to management. Other duties may be assigned.
Mobile Maintenance Fleet Technician Requirements:
Individuals will be expected to independently diagnosis, repair and/or replace major components. Must be 18 years of age 3 years of hands-on diesel mechanic experience Must be able to read and comprehend instruction manuals and diagnostic charts Computer Skills & Data Entry (Diagnostics Experience Preferred) Valid driver's license and clean driving record, CDL a plus Possess own tools and toolbox Additional Requirements Pre-employment drug screen Pre-employment physical examination
