Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing and maintaining our fleet trucks. Your expertise will ensure that our fleet operates efficiently, safely, and reliably. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, systems, brakes, and air brake systems using schematics and automotive diagnostic tools. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to meet specific repair requirements. Replace or repair shocks & struts, tires, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and perform wheel alignments to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Utilize heavy equipment operation skills to assist with assembly, equipment repair, and maintenance tasks that require precise handling of machinery like tractor-trailers or excavators. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; adhere to safety standards related to heavy lifting and equipment operation. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and ensuring timely completion of all service requests. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Technician ,Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions , electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and the use of hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering devices. Knowledge of safety protocols related to heavy lifting, tire service, welding operations, and industrial equipment maintenance. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently. Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with team members and providing quality customer service. $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
