Job Description

PURPOSE. This position is responsible for maintaining company equipment in accordance with company standards, while maximizing utilization and uptime with a focus on company cost objectives.
PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES.
Capable of performing most major repairs with minimal guidance or supervision. Repair equipment in the most effective manner with a focus on quality and cost control. Assist in performing effective diagnostic routines that identifies root cause and determine best repair method. Provide mentoring and training to less experienced technicians. Conduct all repairs in a manner that emphasizes personal and coworker safety. Responsible for maintaining a clean and safe work environment. Basic Hand Tools Required (Service Manager can provide list) Technician must have Required list within 30 days of employment
QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS.
High School diploma or equivalent. Experienced in computer based maintenance systems. Vendor sponsored training in major vehicle components preferred.
PREFERRED SKILLS.
Minimum three years of experience in Class 8 maintenance and repair. Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience. Ability to work in a team environment to continuously improve results. Able to promote a culture of trust and safety.
