Job Overview Join our dynamic team as a Mobile Diesel Technician, where your expertise in heavy equipment and diesel engine repair will drive success across diverse job sites. In this energetic role, you'll be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of mobile heavy machinery, including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts. Your mechanical knowledge and hands-on skills will ensure equipment operates safely and efficiently, supporting our commitment to exceptional service and operational excellence. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and electrical components using schematics and power tools. Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and air brake inspections to maximize equipment lifespan. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using welding, soldering, hand tools, and assembly techniques to meet specific operational requirements. Operate heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently during repair or testing procedures. Interpret technical schematics and manuals to troubleshoot complex issues across various machinery types like agricultural machinery, industrial equipment, or automotive systems. Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as brake repairs, wheel alignments, shocks & struts replacement, and HVAC system servicing to ensure optimal performance. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair findings clearly and ensuring work is completed efficiently while adhering to safety standards. Qualifications Proven experience working as a mechanic or service technician in a dealership or heavy equipment environment with a focus on diesel engines. Strong mechanical knowledge of transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, air brakes, suspension components, HVAC systems, and tire services. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and reading schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to operate heavy machinery such as excavators, cranes, forklifts or tractor-trailers confidently and safely. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiar with assembly processes for equipment repair or modification. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely using appropriate safety protocols. Valid certifications related to heavy equipment operation or automotive repair are preferred; dealership experience is highly valued. Pay:
$28.32 - $45.00 per hour
