Field Service Technician - Power Generation & Heavy Diesel Basin Solutions Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $35 - $45 an hour 11 hours ago Benefits Opportunities for advancement Qualifications Customer communication Full Job Description Field Service Technician (Power Generation / Heavy Diesel) We are currently looking for experienced Field Service Technicians to support a growing leader in onsite power generation and energy systems. We welcome applications from experienced technicians who are willing to relocate to Tipton, MO. This is a hands-on role supporting the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and commissioning of diesel and natural gas power generation equipment. We are looking for experienced technicians from the power generation industry, but we also encourage applications from individuals with strong backgrounds in heavy-duty diesel, industrial equipment, agricultural equipment, construction equipment, or related mechanical and electrical trades who are looking to transition into the power generation industry. Responsibilities Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues on diesel and natural gas generators Perform preventative maintenance, inspections, tune-ups, repairs, and commissioning work Troubleshoot AC/DC electrical systems, controls, transfer switches, switchgear, battery chargers, block heaters, and related equipment Read and interpret electrical schematics and wiring diagrams Complete service reports and documentation accurately Operate service trucks and field equipment safely and professionally Participate in after-hours emergency service work on a rotational basis as required Represent the company professionally while working at customer sites What We're Looking For 3 to 5 years of experience in power generation, heavy-duty diesel, industrial maintenance, construction equipment, agricultural equipment, engine repair, or a related mechanical/electrical field Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting abilities Experience working on diesel engines, industrial equipment, heavy equipment, or generators Knowledge of AC systems up to 600VAC and DC fundamentals is considered an asset Ability to work independently and solve problems in the field Comfortable using diagnostic software, computers, and digital service reporting systems Strong communication and customer service skills Proficiency with Microsoft Office, email, and basic computer applications Valid driver's license required CDL is considered an asset or willingness to obtain one Generator experience is highly valued; however, we are also interested in speaking with experienced technicians from related industries who have strong mechanical and electrical skills and are eager to build a career in power generation. Training and ongoing development will be provided for the right individual.
