Lead Diesel Technician Endless Black Ribbon Logistics Midland, TX Job Details Full-time $80,000 - $120,000 a year 6 hours ago Benefits Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance 401(k) matching Qualifications Vehicle inspections Vehicle mechanics for truck drivers Diesel mechanics Vehicle maintenance Organizational skills Vehicle maintenance logs Transmissions Diesel engine repair Full Job Description Job Overview Join our team as a Diesel Fleet Mechanic, where you will be responsible for keeping our small fleet of hydrovac and heavy haul trucks in operating condition. Your will be a vital part of providing a top-level service to our customers. We value proactive problem-solving, deep knowledge of diesel engine mechanics, experience with hydrovacs, organization and communication skills. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspensions, brakes, and air brake systems to ensure optimal performance. Create an individualized maintenance schedule for each unit, and complete the items listed within said schedule on a regular basis. Maintain detailed notes and logs on repairs and maintenance done on all vehicles, complying with all DOT regulations. Keep inventory of all parts and equipment kept on hand for unit repair or maintenance as needed. Ability to diagnose cause of vehicle or mechanical faults, quickly rectify and create plan to reduce likelihood of repeat malfunctions. Safe work habits and procedures to reduce risks of injury to all involved in the process of working in the shop. Experience Previous experience as a diesel mechanic, specializing in Hydrovac or Heavy Haul trucks and trailers. FMCSA Brake and Vehicle inspector qualifications/certifications highly favorable. Skilled in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical systems effectively. Communication skills to accurately and efficiently relay information to supervisors and explain truck malfunctions, repairs, and maintenance procedures.
Pay:
$80,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
