Job Description

Overview Sheely Supply LLC is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team as a 1099/subcontractor! We are seeking a dependable, motivated individual with experience working on diesel engines. Applicants must live in Montgomery county, have their own tools, and have hands-on experience diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing diesel engines. We're looking for someone who can take pride in their work, is reliable, and can working independently. Requirements Full time- availability 1099/subcontractor Valid drivers license Experience working with diesel engines Must have own tools Must live in Montgomery county Strong work ethic and reliability Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in optimal condition. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex mechanical and electrical issues across various heavy equipment types including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, and industrial equipment. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools and welding techniques to meet specific repair needs or customizations. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing procedures while adhering to safety protocols and industry standards. Maintain detailed service records, repair logs, and inventory of parts used during repairs to ensure accurate documentation. Collaborate with team members to execute repairs efficiently while providing excellent customer service by communicating clearly about repair status and timelines. Skills Proven experience working as a diesel mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and suspension components. Proficiency in automotive diagnostics using schematics and electronic testing tools. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering for custom repairs or modifications. Ability to operate cranes and forklifts Familiarity with power tools, hand tools, tire service equipment, and alignment machines. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely when handling large parts or equipment.
