The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the maintenance and repair of heavy machinery and vehicles. This role is critical in ensuring that all equipment operates efficiently and safely, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity on-site. Duties
  • Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, and cranes.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to identify problems accurately.
  • Operate various types of heavy equipment to test functionality post-repair.
  • Conduct tire services, including mounting, balancing, and repairs.
  • Utilize power tools effectively to assemble or disassemble machinery components as needed.
  • Weld parts together to repair or fabricate equipment as necessary.
  • Maintain accurate records of repairs and maintenance performed on all equipment.
  • Collaborate with other mechanics and operators to ensure optimal equipment performance. Skills
  • Proficient in heavy equipment operation with hands-on experience in automotive repair.
  • Strong knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices and procedures.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics for troubleshooting purposes.
  • Experience with tractor-trailer maintenance is a plus.
  • Familiarity with welding techniques and the ability to assemble machinery components effectively.
  • Solid understanding of safety protocols related to heavy equipment operation and maintenance.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues.
