Diesel Mechanic Service Technician

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Diesel Mechanic Service Tech to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in vehicle maintenance and repair, with the ability to work on a variety of fleet vehicles and equipment. This role is crucial in ensuring the safety and reliability of our fleet, contributing to the overall efficiency of our operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on fleet vehicles, including trucks, cranes, and other heavy equipment. Diagnose mechanical issues using schematics and technical manuals to ensure accurate repairs. Conduct inspections of air brake systems, shocks, struts, and other critical components to maintain safety standards. Utilize hand tools and diagnostic equipment effectively for repairs and maintenance tasks. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and implement effective solutions. Maintain detailed records of repairs, maintenance schedules, and parts inventory. Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies while performing all tasks. Maintain grounds, including mowing and picking up loose trash. Should have their own basic hand tools. Clean and pressure wash trucks and bins. Delivery and pick up bins. Be able to learn and have a good attitude. Skills Proficient in vehicle maintenance techniques and equipment repair practices. Strong understanding of schematics related to automotive systems. Experience with air brake systems is highly desirable. Ability to work with hand tools effectively in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of mechanical systems including shocks, struts, and crane operations. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively within a team setting.
