Job Description

Junior Mechanic (1-3 Years Experience) We are looking for a motivated and dependable Junior Mechanic with 1-3 years of experience working on diesel engines or heavy equipment. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to build a long-term career in diesel and heavy equipment repair while learning from experienced professionals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
Assist senior mechanics with diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines and heavy equipment (excavators, loaders, dump trucks, etc.) Perform oil changes, filter replacements, tire service, and other basic mechanical work Assist with routine preventative maintenance and inspections Keep shop area clean, organized, and stocked Follow all safety protocols and company procedures Occasional job site or roadside assistance as needed
Qualifications:
1-3 years of mechanical experience (diesel, automotive, or heavy equipment) Valid driver's license with clean driving record Must be able to pass background check (military base access required) CDL or DOT experience is a plus Willingness to work flexible hours

The ideal candidate will perform advanced diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of heavy equipment and diesel-powered vehicles.

Roles & Responsibilities:
Perform inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on heavy equipment (dozers, excavators, loaders, dump trucks, sweepers, trailers, etc.) Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, electrical, powertrain, and pneumatic systems Diagnose ignition, fuel, ABS, lighting, and computer control systems Perform preventative maintenance and maintain accurate service records Safely operate equipment for testing and troubleshooting Field and roadside repairs as needed Some out-of-town travel may be required
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED 10+ years of diesel/heavy equipment repair experience (required) Strong knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, electrical, and powertrain systems Ability to operate heavy equipment for diagnostics/testing Computer literacy (work orders, parts ordering, documentation) Valid driver's license with clean driving record DOT experience is a plus
