In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, industrial machinery, trailer repair and farm equipment. You will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics, automotive diagnostics tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as Semi's, trailers, tractors, construction equipment and diesel pickups. Fabricate parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet repair specifications. Replace or repair shocks & struts, brake systems, wheel alignments, tires, and suspension components to ensure optimal vehicle performance. Learn/ know how to troubleshoot electrical systems and perform electrical repairs on various machinery. Experience Extensive background working with heavy-duty vehicles and industrial equipment is highly preferred. Proven experience in automotive repair with a focus on diesel engine repair, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, and suspension components. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering for fabrication and repairs. Familiarity with schematics for electrical systems and the ability to interpret technical manuals is essential. Demonstrated ability to perform vehicle maintenance tasks including tire service, wheel alignment, shocks & struts replacement, brake repair, and HVAC servicing. Ability to work independently or as part of a team to get tasks done.
