Experienced Diesel Technician Wanted Universal Auto Repair - 5.0 Taylor, TX Job Details Full-time $30 - $35 an hour 18 hours ago Benefits Employee discount Qualifications Vehicle mechanics for truck drivers Diesel mechanics Driver's License Emission control systems Electrical maintenance Full Job Description We are looking for an experienced diesel technician who can confidently diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel trucks from start to finish. We are a busy, family-owned shop that believes in fixing vehicles correctly, not throwing parts at problems. This is not an entry-level position. We need someone who can work independently, stay organized, communicate professionally, and handle a variety of diesel repairs in a fast-paced environment. What We're Looking For Strong diesel diagnostic skills Ability to troubleshoot drivability, electrical, fuel, and performance issues Experience with Powerstroke, Duramax, and Cummins platforms preferred Knowledge of emissions systems including DPF, EGR, and DEF systems Ability to perform engine repairs, turbo replacement, injectors, head gaskets, cooling systems, and general diesel maintenance Transmission and drivetrain experience is a plus Ability to use scan tools, diagnostic equipment, wiring diagrams, and repair information systems Someone who takes pride in quality work and clean workmanship Responsibilities Diagnose and repair diesel trucks accurately and efficiently Perform complete inspections and document findings Communicate repair needs clearly with service advisors/management Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow shop procedures and safety standards Complete work correctly the first time Requirements Valid Texas driver's license Own tools required Reliable attendance and strong work ethic Ability to work well with a team Professional attitude with coworkers and customers Experience
