Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. We are a growing transportation company that services the Central Texas region. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. We offer competitive pay with benefits. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brake systems, suspension components, and electrical systems. Fabricate parts or components as needed using welding,and hand tools to support equipment repair or customization projects. Replace or repair brake systems, alignments, powertrain components, HVAC systems, and other mechanical parts with precision. Perform tire repairs and installations Operate heavy machinery for testing purposes after repairs or during routine maintenance to verify proper functioning. Maintain detailed service records and documentation for all repairs performed in accordance with safety standards and company policies. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating repair needs clearly and offering solutions that maximize equipment uptime Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and vehicle maintenance across various industries. Skilled in reading schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams to troubleshoot complex issues efficiently. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential. Knowledge of heavy equipment operation such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, and tractor-trailers is advantageous. Strong understanding of automotive diagnostics combined with mechanical knowledge of transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension systems, and HVAC units. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or parts; familiarity with tire service and alignment procedures is a plus. Excellent problem-solving skills coupled with a commitment to safety standards; customer service experience is valued for clear communication with clients or team members.
