This position performs skilled journey level tasks related to the preventative and routine maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of district diesel and gas equipment. Requires equivalent to a high school diploma; Two (2) years vocational certifications in auto mechanics, diesel/heavy equipment service work, and welding; and four (4) years formal work experience performing automotive/heavy equipment mechanical duties. CDL Class A Driver's License preferred or obtained within first 6 months of hire. Job related education and/or experience may be combined to equal total education/experience requirements.
