Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Diesel Mechanic / Working Manager to lead our maintenance operations on heavy equipment . This role combines hands-on mechanical expertise with leadership responsibilities, ensuring all equipment is serviced, repaired, and maintained to the highest standards. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment, possess strong technical knowledge, and demonstrate excellent management skills. This position offers an exciting opportunity to manage a team while actively engaging in repair and diagnostics of various heavy-duty vehicles and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, suspension components, brakes, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and other heavy equipment parts. Lead and supervise a team of technicians to ensure timely completion of service orders while maintaining high quality standards. Conduct fabrication tasks such as welding, cutting, and assembling parts using power tools and hand tools to support equipment repair needs. Utilize schematics and technical manuals to troubleshoot complex issues on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractor-trailers, and other industrial or farm machinery. Oversee the inspection and servicing of vehicles including tire service, wheel alignment, air brake systems, electrical systems, and HVAC units. Manage inventory of parts and supplies necessary for ongoing maintenance activities; ensure proper documentation of all repairs performed. Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols related to heavy lifting, welding operations, soldering, and use of power tools. Experience Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience is highly preferred for familiarity with manufacturer-specific systems such as Caterpillar or other heavy equipment brands. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques including welding and assembly of mechanical components. Knowledge of schematics for troubleshooting electrical systems in heavy machinery and industrial equipment. Experience operating heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, or tractor-trailers is advantageous. Strong mechanical knowledge across vehicle maintenance, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, tire services, and brake repairs.
Pay:
From $32.00 per hour
