Job Description
Red Stag LLC is seeking a skilled full-time diesel mechanic. A Diesel Mechanic is responsible for maintaining and repairing diesel engines and related systems in vehicles to ensure their safe and efficient operation.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, and other related systems in accordance with industry standards and company policies Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems using advanced diagnostic tools and techniques Inspect and test vehicles to identify any potential issues and perform necessary repairs or adjustments Keep accurate records of all services and repairs performed on each vehicle Communicate and collaborate with other team members to ensure timely completion of work Conduct safety checks and DOT inspections Follow all safety protocols and regulations to promote a safe working environment Maintain a clean and organized working area and properly handle and dispose of hazardous materials Adhere to company policies and procedures Ensure the shop stays tidy and organized Other related duties as assignedKNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND REQUIREMENTS
High school diploma or equivalent required; trade school or vocational training in diesel mechanics preferred Minimum of 2 years of experience working as a Diesel Mechanic, preferably in a transportation or logistics industry Proven knowledge and experience in diesel engine diagnostics and repairs Proficient in the use of diagnostic tools and equipment Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and in a team environment, with excellent time-management abilities Willingness to work flexible schedules and on-call as needed Valid driver's license and clean driving recordPHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/WORK ENVIRONMENT
Must be able to bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, squat, lift 50 pounds, sit for an extended period, and reach overheadJob Type:
