Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Heavy Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and longevity of our fleet and equipment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and other heavy equipment components. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and air brake inspections to keep equipment operating efficiently. Fabricate and modify parts or components using welding, soldering, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Repair and maintain heavy equipment including excavators, cranes, tractors-trailers, industrial equipment, and other heavy-duty vehicles or machinery. Assist with assembly of new equipment or parts as needed; perform heavy lifting safely during repairs or installations. Maintain detailed service records and documentation of repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and company policies. Skills Proven experience working as a Heavy Diesel Mechanic with dealership experience preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and tire services. Skilled in using hand tools, power tools (including welding equipment), schematics reading, soldering techniques, and diagnostic tools for automotive diagnostics. Ability to operate heavy equipment. Familiarity with automotive repair standards including brake repair, alignment procedures, shocks & struts replacement, and vehicle maintenance routines. Experience with fabrication tasks involving welding or assembly of parts for custom repairs or modifications. Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and hydraulic issues accurately. Strong customer service orientation coupled with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to team members or clients when necessary.
