Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
Perform maintenance and repairs on diesel engines with a focus on service quality, safety, and efficiency. Minimize downtime by ensuring equipment is available and operational in a timely manner. Maintain rigorous safety and performance standards in all shop operations. Contribute to the service department's reputation by embracing new challenges and seeking ways to add value.Reporting Structure:
This role reports directly to the Shop Supervisor and collaborates with management across various business divisions. Strong knowledge of mechanics, including brakes, drivetrain, A/C, cooling systems, electrical components, electronics (ECM, Body Controls), steering, suspension, diesel components, fuel systems, exhaust systems, and welding. Familiarity with diesel engine repair, maintenance, and OSHA regulations. Skilled in component exchanges and repairs. Ability to read and interpret safety regulations, operating instructions, and manuals. Expertise in truck equipment, including transmissions, engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Strong sense of urgency, analytical skills, and attention to detail. Proficient in operating vehicles and diagnostic equipment. Experience in Towing Valid and Active CDL is required for this positionEducation/Experience Requirements:
Must own your own tools. 2-3 years of prior experience required. Ability to lift up to 75 lbs. and perform physical tasks such as standing, stooping, crawling, bending, reaching, and climbing. Basic computer skills; welding experience is a plus. Ability to maintain service-related documents. Valid driver's license required.Essential Functions & Major Accountabilities:
Proven experience as a successful mechanic. Expertise in heavy equipment repair and maintenance, including OSHA compliance. Knowledge of agricultural and construction equipment, including transmissions, engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems. Ability to read and interpret electrical/hydraulic schematics and service manuals. Skilled in troubleshooting and diagnosing mechanical issues. Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a sense of urgency. Capable of working in extreme weather conditions. Operate diagnostic vehicles and equipment effectively. Communicate clearly with managers, coworkers, and clients.
