Diesel Mechanic

R. O. Harrell, Inc. is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join our team in South Boston, VA! Our Diesel Mechanics perform preventative maintenance, component replacements and troubleshoot on our fleet of tanks and tractors. In this role, you will replace tires, install brakes, and complete electrical and safety inspections. Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues on diesel engines and related systems Perform routine maintenance including oil changes, brake service, inspections, and preventative maintenance Repair or replace engines, transmissions, clutches, differentials, fuel systems, and exhaust systems Troubleshoot electrical systems, including starters, alternators, and wiring Use diagnostic tools, software, and service manuals to identify and resolve issues Complete work orders accurately and maintain service records Ensure compliance with safety standards and shop procedures Maintain cleanliness and organization of work area and tools Communicate repair needs and timelines with supervisors or service advisors Benefits R.
