Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Technician/Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates safely, efficiently, and reliably, supporting our operations and customer satisfaction. This position offers an exciting opportunity for experienced mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and automotive repair to showcase their skills in a fast-paced environment. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, brakes, suspensions, hydraulics, and electrical systems using schematics and technical manuals. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, alignment checks, and fluid replacements to keep equipment in optimal condition. Fabricate and modify parts or components as needed using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools. Repair and service heavy machinery including excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery, industrial equipment, and tractor-trailers. Troubleshoot electrical systems and perform automotive diagnostics to identify issues accurately and efficiently. Assist with assembly and disassembly of equipment components during repairs or upgrades while adhering to safety standards. Support customer service efforts by providing clear communication about repairs needed and estimated timelines. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Technician/Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment repair background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge across diesel engines, transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and suspension components. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals for troubleshooting complex systems. Hands-on experience with heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Skilled in using power tools, hand tools, welding equipment, soldering tools, and other maintenance devices safely. Ability to lift heavy components regularly and perform physically demanding tasks with precision. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with strong customer service orientation. Valid certifications or training related to automotive repair or heavy equipment maintenance is highly desirable.
