The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive diagnostics and mechanical knowledge, with hands-on experience in maintaining and repairing diesel engines, particularly in tractor-trailer and heavy equipment applications. This role is vital for ensuring the reliability and efficiency of our fleet, contributing to the overall success of our operations. Duties Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including troubleshooting and diagnostics. Conduct inspections and assessments of vehicle systems to identify issues and recommend solutions. Repair or replace defective parts using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment. Maintain accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed on vehicles. Operate various types of equipment such as forklifts, cranes, and hydraulic systems as needed for repairs. Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and adherence to safety protocols. Skills Proficient in automotive diagnostics with a strong understanding of diesel engine mechanics. Experience with maintaining and repairing tractor-trailer systems is preferred. Mechanical knowledge encompassing various repair techniques and tools. Ability to operate forklifts, cranes, and other heavy machinery safely and effectively. Familiarity with hydraulic systems and their maintenance requirements. Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail in diagnosing issues accurately.
