Transport Refrigeration, Inc. (TRI), a factory-authorized Thermo King dealer, is seeking a motivated student to join our team as a Technician Trainee / Installer Assistant . This is an excellent opportunity for someone interested in diesel, automotive, HVAC, welding, or skilled trades careers. No prior experience is required—we'll train you. What You'll Learn Working alongside experienced technicians, you'll assist with the installation of: Auxiliary Power Units (APUs) Cab heaters and air conditioning systems Transport refrigeration units Custom-built products and equipment You'll gain real-world mechanical experience while learning valuable skills used throughout the transportation and skilled trades industries. Responsibilities Assist technicians with equipment installations Help assemble parts and components Prepare vehicles and equipment for installation Maintain a clean and organized work area Follow safety procedures and quality standards Assist with general shop duties as needed Qualifications Currently enrolled in high school, technical college, or trade school Interest in mechanics, diesel technology, HVAC, welding, or related trades Positive attitude and willingness to learn Dependable with good attendance Able to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on environment Valid driver's license and reliable transportation preferred Why Work at TRI?
