Diesel Mechanic

Position Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join the Dorsch Ford Pro team! This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide range of diesel and commercial vehicles in a brand-new, air-conditioned shop. With a strong backlog of work, you'll have consistent hours and steady workflow. The ideal candidate is a skilled technician with strong diagnostic abilities and a commitment to quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines and vehicle systems Perform advanced troubleshooting on mechanical and electrical systems Complete repairs in a timely manner while maintaining quality standards Perform routine maintenance services and vehicle inspections Accurately document work performed on repair orders Communicate effectively with service advisors regarding repair status Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment Follow all safety procedures and dealership policies

Qualifications & Requirements:

Minimum of 5 years of automotive/diesel technician experience required Must have own set of tools and toolbox Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills Experience with diesel engines, electrical systems, and emissions systems ASE certifications preferred (or willingness to obtain) Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment

Physical Requirements:

Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds Must be able to operate a vehicle hoist safely and effectively Ability to stand, bend, and work in a shop environment for extended periods

Preferred Experience:

Experience with Ford diesel engines (Power Stroke) or similar Previous dealership experience Familiarity with diagnostic software and scan tools

Pay:

$35.00 - $40.00 per hour
