Job Description

Bayland Transport, located in Green Bay, WI, is looking for a certified diesel mechanic/technician. This person will provide additional support to maintain our fleet. At Bayland, our diesel mechanics play a vital role in maintaining our fleet and keeping our tractor-trailers on the road delivering refrigerated goods safely and on time to meet our customers' needs. In this role you will perform all tractor & trailer repairs including and not limited to: Electronic system diagnostics Brake diagnostics Engine, transmission, differential & drive train diagnostics HVAC system diagnostics Fuel system, steering & suspension and tire maintenance Perform all tractor preventative maintenance tasks Perform all DOT inspections Report all vehicle records electronically and manually Maintain a clean organized work place In addition to all tractor repairs, perform all refrigerated trailer repairs and preventative maintenance tasks associated with the trailers. Preventative maintenance of Diesel engines Additional desired skills to be successful in this role: Ability to operate manual transmission for testing repairs, Proven record of maintaining diesel equipment and increasing business efficiency, Troubleshooting, Ability to effectively communicate written and verbally
Requirements:
Diesel Mechanic Schooling/Training Background. In this role you will, at minimum, encounter the following: Standing, sitting, walking, lifting, carrying, pulling, climbing, bending, twisting, crawling, kneeling, reaching, paperwork, telephone calls, and training. Potential of minor road repairs required in all weather conditions may arise. Also, noise, chemical & slip/trips/fall hazards associated with performing tasks.
