Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including quad axle dump trucks and construction machinery. Your expertise will ensure that all vehicles and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and reliably. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment types and contribute to the smooth operation of our fleet and machinery. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, air brakes, suspension systems, and electrical components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. It would be great if you have a CDL/Fed Med certificate so you could jump in a dump truck when needed or during slower repair times. Fabricate parts or modifications as needed using welding, hand tools, power tools, and fabrication techniques to ensure optimal performance. Troubleshoot and repair vehicle systems including HVAC units, shocks & struts, tires, brakes, alignments, and powertrain components. Maintain detailed service records of all repairs performed; ensure compliance with safety standards and manufacturer specifications. Assist in assembly or disassembly of equipment for repairs or upgrades; perform heavy lifting safely during maintenance procedures. Qualifications Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in diesel engine repair and automotive diagnostics. Dealership experience or equivalent background working with quad axle dump trucks or similar heavy equipment is highly desirable. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as excavators, tractors-trailers safely and efficiently. Knowledge of vehicle maintenance practices including brake repair, shocks & struts replacement, suspension work, and transmission servicing. Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, service tech equipment; capable of heavy lifting when required. Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills. Pay:
$28.00 - $33.00 per hour
