In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a fleet of heavy construction equipment and diesel-powered vehicles to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operations. Your expertise will help minimize equipment downtime, support field operations, and contribute to the success completion of construction projects. Duties
  • Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy construction equipment, including excavators, bulldozers, loaders, skid steers, graders, rollers, dump trucks, and other diesel-powered equipment.
  • Perform preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid checks, lubrication, inspections, and scheduled servicing.
  • Troubleshoot and repair diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, powertrain components, brakes, steering, and cooling systems.
  • Utilize diagnostic software, tools, and equipment to accurately identify mechanical and electrical issues.
  • Perform welding and light fabrication as needed for equipment repairs.
  • Respond to field service calls to troubleshoot and repair equipment at construction job sites.
  • Maintain accurate records of inspections, maintenance, repairs, parts usage, and equipment service history.
  • Ensure all repairs comply with manufacturer specifications, company standards, and OSHA safety regulations.
  • Support operators by answering equipment-related questions and providing guidance on proper operation and routine maintenance.
  • Help minimize equipment downtime by completing repairs efficiently and prioritizing critical equipment needs. Qualifications
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Heavy Equipment Diesel Mechanic (preferred).
  • Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and heavy construction equipment.
  • Ability to read and interpret service manuals, wiring diagrams, hydraulic schematics, and technical documentation.
  • Experience using computerized diagnostic software and electronic troubleshooting tools.
  • Welding and fabrication experience is preferred.
  • Valid driver's license required; Commercial Driver's License (CDL) preferred or willingness to obtain one.
Pay:
$28.00 - $35.00 per hour
