Schedule:
Full-Time | Monday-Friday | 1st Shift (8:00 AM-5:00 PM or 7:30 AM-4:30 PM) | No weekends or nights Job Overview We are seeking an experienced Diesel Technician to join a respected, long-established heavy-duty truck service team serving Wisconsin and Illinois for over 40 years. This is a great opportunity for a skilled technician who wants a stable first-shift schedule, strong team culture, ongoing OEM training, and the ability to take ownership of repair work from diagnosis to completion. You will work on all-makes commercial trucks and buses, performing advanced diagnostics, repairs, and preventive maintenance. Senior technicians may also mentor junior team members and contribute to maintaining high service standards. Key Responsibilities Perform repairs as outlined on work orders with accuracy and efficiency Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and performance issues Repair and overhaul diesel engines, transmissions, differentials, and driveline systems Service brake systems (air and hydraulic), steering, suspension, and HVAC systems Install and replace components including injectors, pistons, liners, camshafts, bearings, clutches, and more Use diagnostic software/tools to identify and resolve issues Conduct road tests to verify repairs and vehicle performance Document all work performed according to company and industry standards Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean, compliant work environment Support continuous improvement and participate in ongoing technical training Required Qualifications 5+ years of hands-on experience with diesel engines and heavy-duty trucks Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (mechanical and electrical systems) Experience with engines, transmissions, differentials, brakes, steering, and driveline systems Ability to use diagnostic computers/software Must own a complete professional toolset Valid driver's license with a clean driving record Ability to obtain a CDL if not already held High school diploma or equivalent (technical/vocational training preferred) Preferred Qualifications ASE certifications and/or OEM training
EPA 608/609
