Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Mechanic to join our dynamic maintenance team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery used across various industries, including transportation, construction, and agriculture. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics using OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) schematics and automotive diagnostics tools to identify issues with diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, and electrical components. Conduct repairs and maintenance on heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, and farm machinery to ensure they operate efficiently and safely. Repair and replace critical components including brakes (air brake systems), tires, powertrain parts, hydraulic hoses, and suspension parts. Fabricate custom parts or modifications using hand tools, welding equipment, and fabrication techniques to meet specific repair needs. Maintain detailed service records for all repairs performed; interpret schematics and technical manuals to guide troubleshooting procedures. Operate heavy machinery safely during repairs or testing to verify proper functioning post-service. Provide excellent customer service by communicating repair progress clearly and ensuring client satisfaction with the work completed. Experience Proven mechanic experience working with diesel engines in dealership or industrial settings. Strong mechanical knowledge of heavy equipment operation including excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other industrial machinery. Hands-on experience with automotive repair including transmissions, HVAC systems, electrical diagnostics, welding, soldering, tire service, and brake repair. Familiarity with OEM parts sourcing and the use of schematics for troubleshooting complex systems. Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while working on large machinery or vehicle components. Experience working with power tools and hand tools in a fast-paced environment; ability to read technical manuals accurately. Prior service technician experience in farm machinery or heavy equipment maintenance is highly desirable. Join us if you're passionate about maintaining top-tier machinery performance!
