Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment, including trucks, construction machinery, and industrial vehicles. Your expertise will ensure that all equipment operates efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting our commitment to excellence in service delivery. This position offers an exciting opportunity for mechanics with a passion for heavy equipment and a desire to work in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Responsibilities Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, and air brake systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire service, wheel alignments, and fluid checks to keep equipment in optimal condition. Fabricate parts or modify existing components using power tools, welding equipment, soldering techniques, and hand tools to meet specific repair needs. Inspect heavy equipment for wear and damage; replace shocks & struts, perform wheel alignments, and repair or replace HVAC systems as needed. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications; document work performed accurately in service records. Assist with assembly and disassembly of machinery during repairs or upgrades; support heavy lifting operations safely. Requirements Proven experience working as a Diesel Service Technician or similar mechanic role within a dealership or heavy equipment environment. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and reading schematics for troubleshooting complex issues. Ability to operate heavy equipment such as forklifts, and other industrial machinery safely and efficiently. Skilled in fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; comfortable using power tools and hand tools for repairs. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients or team members. Physical ability to perform heavy lifting tasks regularly; familiarity with tire service procedures is preferred. Certification or training in air brake systems, HVAC repair, alignment services, or similar areas is a plus. Pay:
$30.00 - $50.00 per hour
