Job Description

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Full Time Diesel Mechanic. In this vital role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy-duty diesel-powered equipment and vehicles. Your expertise will ensure optimal performance, safety, and reliability of machinery used in various industrial, agricultural, and transportation settings. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with diverse equipment including trucks, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and farm machinery. Duties Perform comprehensive diagnostics and repairs on diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, brakes, shocks & struts, and HVAC systems. Conduct routine maintenance such as oil changes, tire services, alignments, and air brake inspections to keep equipment operating at peak efficiency. Fabricate and modify parts using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and schematics to meet specific repair needs. Troubleshoot electrical systems including automotive diagnostics and soldering to resolve complex issues on heavy equipment and vehicles. Repair and service farm machinery, industrial equipment, tractor-trailers, excavators, cranes, forklifts, and other heavy-duty machinery. Use technical manuals and schematics to accurately diagnose problems; interpret technical drawings for precise repairs. Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and manufacturer specifications while maintaining a clean and organized workspace. Requirements Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic with dealership or heavy equipment operation background preferred. Strong mechanical knowledge of diesel engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical systems, and vehicle maintenance procedures. Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, welding equipment (including MIG/TIG welding), and fabrication techniques. Ability to read schematics accurately and troubleshoot complex mechanical or electrical issues effectively. Experience working with excavators, cranes, forklifts, farm machinery or similar industrial equipment is highly desirable. Excellent problem-solving skills combined with the ability to perform heavy lifting safely. Valid certifications in automotive repair or service technician training are advantageous; relevant licenses such as air brake certification are a plus.
