Job Description Day-to-Day:
Diagnose and repair EV charging infrastructure using computer diagnostics and electrical tools Perform electrical and mechanical repairs on EV chargers Maintain detailed service and repair documentation Coordinate with third-party vendors for project execution Ensure projects are completed on time, within scope, and within budget Proactively identify and communicate upsell opportunities (service agreements, maintenance plans, monitoring software) Generate warm leads and referrals for the sales team Track charger performance and provide progress reports Escalate technical or project issues to management as needed Adhere to strict safety protocols while working with high-voltage systems Maintain professionalism at customer sites and build strong client relationships Operate and maintain a company vehicle, including cleanliness, maintenance coordination, and compliance with GPS monitoring Participate in ongoing training, including initial one-week training in

Insight Global is seeking an EVCS Technician for a top clean energy and electric vehicle infrastructure client. This individual will support the service operations team by diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining electric vehicle charging stations in the field. The ideal candidate is a hands-on, safety-focused technician who enjoys travel, customer interaction, and working with cutting-edge EV technology. This role offers the opportunity to be part of a rapidly growing organization that plays a key role in the transition to electric mobility, while working independently with strong operational and leadership support.
Salary Range:

Skills and Requirements 2+ years of hands-on experience in electrical, EV, or related client-facing technical role Associate's degree or technical certification in a relevant field Strong knowledge of EV charging systems, EV technology, and electrical systems Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical issues Ability to travel 50-75% and fly domestically Valid driver's license with clean driving record Ability to pass criminal background and DMV checks Comfortable working with high voltage and in varied environmental conditions Must provide and maintain required hand tools Strong communication skills and attention to detail Ability to work overtime and overnight travel as needed Prior experience servicing commercial EV charging infrastructure Experience in startup or fast-growth environments Customer-facing service or field technician background Experience coordinating with third-party vendors Familiarity with monitoring software or preventative maintenance programs
