This is a direct hire position with full benefits starting on Day 1. This role is built for an experienced field technician who can lead crews, manage projects, and perform high-level transformer work on job sites across the region. Position Overview This is a travel-based field role ( 75%+ travel ). When not on the road, the technician reports to the Golden, CO office. All travel expenses are fully covered by the employer. Key Responsibilities Lead crews in the installation, maintenance, and repair of power transformers Work on oil-filled and distribution transformers Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair transformer issues in the field Perform and oversee electrical testing, including: Dissolved Gas Analysis (DGA) Insulation resistance testing Turns Ratio Testing (TTR) Power factor testing Oversee oil processing, vacuum filling, and related procedures Coordinate scheduled maintenance and emergency repair work Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards Train and mentor junior technicians Communicate with clients and complete service reports/documentation Qualifications 4+ years of experience with power transformers or high-voltage equipment Strong understanding of transformer systems and field operations Proven ability to lead teams and manage job sites independently Experience with electrical testing equipment Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical drawings Valid driver's license and willingness to travel extensively
