(EWS) is looking for Power Generator Technician. This professional will be working across the state doing maintenance work in generators. Responsibilities of the Power Generator Technician Perform routine inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on diesel-powered generators and associated electrical systems Interpret schematics, technical manuals, and wiring diagrams to diagnose issues accurately Conduct preventive maintenance to ensure optimal generator performance and longevity Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and soldering techniques to execute repairs effectively Assist with heavy lifting tasks and equipment repairs in various settings, adhering to safety protocols Communicate clearly with customers regarding service needs, repairs performed, and maintenance recommendations Maintain detailed service records, work orders, and inspection reports to ensure compliance and traceability Requirements of the Power Generator Technician Proven experience as a service technician or mechanic specializing in generator repair or heavy equipment maintenance Dealership experience or automotive repair background highly preferred Strong electrical knowledge with the ability to read schematics and wiring diagrams Hands-on experience with diesel engine repair and automotive systems Familiarity with Caterpillar or similar heavy machinery brands is advantageous Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, soldering irons, and other mechanical tools Knowledge of vehicle maintenance procedures and equipment repair techniques Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments Strong mechanical aptitude combined with electrical expertise for troubleshooting complex systems Valid experience working with power generators, electrical systems, and mechanical components
