Job Description

Job Summary The Powersports Technician is responsible for the diagnosis, repair, and scheduled maintenance of a variety of types of Powersports brands. Additional job responsibilities are outlined below. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Ability to diagnose equipment utilizing diagnostic software and/or online technical manuals Perform component removal, disassembly, and reconditioning as part of the repair process Safely operate all equipment the dealership sells and services (ATVs, Motorcycles, Side x sides, etc.) Resolve electrical and mechanical issues Help the dealership by participating in special programs, such as sales of service packages. Communicate repairs with customers so they have an understanding of the work being done Position Qualifications 2+ years of experience with Small Engine Mechanics (Powersports experience strongly preferred) High School Degree required 2-year technical degree within mechanics field preferred Must currently have or be willing to obtain a valid motorcycle license Candidate must have or be willing to obtain OEM certifications Ownership of necessary tools Electronic diagnostic ability Ability to perform all tasks without supervision Ability to lift at least 75 lbs repeatedly Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions and procedure manuals Ability to use a computer and various types of diagnostic equipment
