Entry/Mid/Senior Position Summary We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically skilled Control Panel & Gas Analyzer Technician to join our production team. Under the mentorship and direction of the shop manager, you will be responsible for the end-to-end assembly of custom electrical control panels and the integration, calibration, and testing of complex gas analysis systems. This position requires a blend of electrical precision and mechanical aptitude. Key Responsibilities 1. Panel Fabrication & Wiring Interpret electrical schematics, and layout drawings. Mount components (PLCs, relays, breakers, power supplies) onto backplates and enclosures. Perform point-to-point wiring, ensuring neatness, proper labeling, and adherence to UL 508A or IEC standards. 2. Gas Analyzer Integration Install and plumb analytical instruments. Configure sample conditioning systems, including pumps, filters, flowmeters, and solenoid valves. Perform leak testing and pressure checks on gas paths using inert gases. 3. Testing & Calibration Power up systems and perform loop checks to verify I/O functionality. Troubleshoot electrical faults or pneumatic leaks during the Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) phase.
Technical Skills & Qualifications Education:
High School Diploma Experience:
2 years in industrial panel building or analytical system integration preferred, willing to train the right person.
Knowledge Base:
• Strong grasp of AC/DC circuits and control logic. Familiarity with tubing tools (Swagelok/Parker) for stainless steel. Understanding of hazardous area classifications (Class I, Div 1&2) is a plus.
Tools:
Proficiency with hand/power tools, multi-meters, signal generators. Physical Requirements & Work Environment Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods. High manual dexterity for working with small components and intricate wiring. Occasional travel for on-site commissioning or field service support may be required.
Pay:
$22.00 - $25.00 per hour
