Job Description

Marina Fiberglass Technician Busy upscale boatyard/marina, located on beautiful Falmouth Harbor, looking to immediately hire a Marina Fiberglass Technician. Marina Fiberglass Technician must be capable of performing glass work from minor repairs and gel coat touch ups to major structural repairs and modifications. Also, must have a strong technical knowledge of laminating products, techniques and procedures.
Applicants must:
Must have at least 2 years experience in glass work or equivalent mix of experience and training Must be motivated to take direction, work as a team as well as independently Maintain an organized and clean working area Must be able to swim Ability to exercise good judgment in evaluation situations and making decisions. General seamanship knowledge, boating right of ways rules, basic navigation, and inshore and offshore mooring techniques. Work tasks may be performed both indoors and outdoors. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Must be able to lift and move up to 50 lbs. Frequent walking, reaching, bending, turning, and stooping, Outside work for extended periods of time in various weather conditions. Normal vision and hearing ranges required. Must be comfortable using all dock equipment and materials (gas pump, boats, ropes, anchors, among others). Working hours are 7:30 am to 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Overtime is possible during busy periods. Hourly pay will be based on experience with good benefits, such as holiday pay, vacation pay, 401k, Life, LTD, AD&D and health/dental/vision insurance.
