Job Description

Talascend is currently seeking an Electrical Harness Technician for a contract opportunity with our client in Allen Park, Michigan . Overview The Electrical Harness Technician will be responsible for building, reworking, testing, repairing, and installing wiring harnesses on vehicles and benches. The role involves following blueprints, schematics, BOMs, and P&ID diagrams to ensure quality and safety standards are met. Responsibilities Assemble, install, perform functional and safety tests, and reverse engineer wiring using hand tools and proper assembly techniques following work instructions (prints, cut sheets, sample harnesses). Install lights, brackets, and electrical hardware to test boxes, automotive components, and vehicles according to specifications. Test wiring and components for correct operation using schematics and diagnostic equipment. Perform wiring reworks and repairs on bench and vehicle, crimp and solder, de-pin terminals, create basic schematics, and reverse engineer harnesses. Keep shop equipment operating by following operating instructions, troubleshooting breakdowns, performing preventive maintenance, and calling for repairs. Participate in daily shop organization and clean-up. Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent. Minimum of 4 years of electrical work experience. Preferred Qualifications Certificate in automotive electrical technology or related. Valid driver's license. Experience installing components on circuit boards. Experience with automotive powertrain systems or electric battery systems. We thank all applicants for their interest.
