race/color/religion/sex/sexual orientation/gender identity/ national origin/disability Job Summary LeCom Utility Contractors is seeking a skilled Vehicle Upfitter to support our growing fleet operations. This role is responsible for installing, modifying, and maintaining company vehicles and equipment used in power, utility, and infrastructure projects. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems and take pride in delivering safe, clean, and professional vehicle builds—including applying and removing company decals and branding. Key Responsibilities Install and upfit work trucks, vans, and specialty utility vehicles with racks, tool storage, lighting, safety equipment, and accessories Perform 12V/24V electrical work including wiring, switches, relays, strobes, and inverter systems Install and remove vehicle decals, wraps, and company branding to maintain a professional fleet appearance Modify interiors and exteriors of vehicles to meet operational needs for field crews Read and interpret schematics, blueprints, and installation instructions Ensure all components are properly mounted, secured, and compliant with safety standards Test all installed systems and troubleshoot any issues Maintain accurate documentation of upfitting work performed Keep work areas clean, organized, and safe Collaborate with fleet, safety, and operations teams to meet project deadlines Qualifications High school diploma or GED required 1-3+ years of experience in vehicle upfitting, automotive, electrical, or related field Working knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and mechanical components Experience using hand and power tools Ability to read technical instructions and wiring diagrams Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship Valid driver's license required Preferred Qualifications Experience with utility fleet vehicles, bucket trucks, or service trucks Familiarity with DOT and safety compliance standards Experience with GPS, camera systems, or telematics installation Vinyl decal or wrap installation/removal experience Welding or light fabrication skills Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent bending, kneeling, climbing, and standing Ability to work in shop and outdoor environments Work Environment Shop-based role with exposure to vehicles, tools, and equipment Occasional outdoor work in varying weather conditions Fast-paced environment supporting active field operations
