We serve contractors, landscapers, and homeowners by offering a diverse selection of rental equipment for a range of projects and maintenance needs. Overview Rental Works is seeking a dependable and motivated Shop Technician with a focus on scissor lifts and aerial equipment. This role is responsible for inspecting, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electric and rough terrain scissor lifts to ensure our fleet is safe, reliable, and rental-ready. The ideal candidate takes pride in quality work, values safety, and thrives in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. What You'll Do Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on electric and rough terrain scissor lifts Diagnose hydraulic, electrical, battery, charging, and drive system issues Complete rental-ready inspections and safety checks Troubleshoot fault codes and operational issues Replace batteries, hoses, tires, platform components, and electrical components Perform annual inspections and document service records accurately Maintain clean and organized shop work areas Ensure equipment meets Rental Works quality and safety standards Assist with fleet organization and yard flow as needed Communicate repair needs and equipment status with the service team Follow all company safety procedures and manufacturer guidelines Equipment You'll Work On Electric scissor lifts Rough terrain scissor lifts Vertical mast lifts Small aerial work platforms Qualifications High school diploma or GED preferred 1+ years of mechanical experience preferred Experience with aerial equipment, forklifts, automotive, diesel, or hydraulic systems preferred Basic understanding of electrical and hydraulic troubleshooting Ability to use hand tools, diagnostic tools, and power tools safely Strong work ethic and attention to detail Ability to work independently and within a team environment Valid driver's license preferred Preferred Experience Experience with any of the following is a plus: Genie scissor lifts MEC scissor lifts Skyjack equipment JLG aerial equipment Battery and charging systems Hydraulic systems Electrical diagnostics ANSI aerial inspections Physical Requirements Ability to lift up to 50 lbs Frequent standing, climbing, kneeling, and bending Ability to work indoors and outdoors in varying conditions Comfortable working at heights when needed Why Rental Works?
