We are looking for you to join our collaborative team as a Panel Technician Apprentice at our Rochester location.

Panel Technician Apprentice Primary Function :

The Panel Technician Apprentice will be trained to build custom control panels. In this position you will work with experienced technicians to learn: Basic electrical theory. To read and interpret electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and technical manuals. Mechanically layout and mount hardware components. Wire complete panel in accordance with PFT panel procedures, UL508A specifications, and other best practices as given by the panel shop supervisor. The use of hand tools, i.e. jigsaw, drills, wrenches, screwdrivers The use of electrical test equipment, i.e. Multi meter Torque check and marking in accordance with PFT procedures Test Custom Industrial Control Panels and OEM Products Point to Point wire tests in accordance with PFT testing procedures Along with acquiring technical knowledge, you will be responsible for the following: Accounting for parts required for the job Maintaining a neat and orderly work area at all times Organizing and maintaining shop tools and equipment Organizing and maintaining personal tools Organizing and maintaining your project items and materials Help maintain common shop supplies IE Labels, wire ties, wire, etc.

Panel Technician Apprentice Qualifications :

Previous experience, training, or schooling in electrical work Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools and other power tools Willingness to learn Current, valid, and clean NYS driver's license to operate company vehicles as needed

Physical Requirements:

Ability to stand for up to 8 Hours Ability to lift 50 pounds Ability to work on elevated platforms Ability to climb ladders This position may require standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, crouching and/or reaching You may be exposed to dust, loud noises, and hot and cold conditions Good hand-eye coordination and fine motor skills may be required for hand tools, power tools, and other machinery Full-time, Monday - Friday, on-site.
