Job Description

  • Description
  • The Electrical Field Testing Technician is responsible for assisting in commissioning and testing activities in the field for client projects across the nation.
+ Assist with the field testing for utility and industrial substations and facilities. + Assist with the verification of the proper installation of equipment. + Assist with testing of substation apparatus and systems. + Assist with compiling test results and creating reports for all the physical testing of equipment test procedures. + Develops knowledge and job skills of cost control and the corresponding testing and commissioning scheduling tasks. + Develops the knowledge and job skills to perform verification of yard wiring per design drawings. + Adhere to all company, industry, and client safety protocols and standards. + Participate in on-the-job training and development programs to achieve a comprehensive knowledge of electrical fundamentals, electrical transmission and distribution equipment, and their operations. + Ensure compliance with company and site safety policies. + Performs other duties as assigned. + Complies with all policies and standards.
  • Qualifications
  • + Associate Degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical Power & Controls, or equivalent required.
+ Or Applicable experience may be substituted for the degree requirement required. + Previous related internship preferred. + Requires attention to safety and the ability to remain current on all safety training and certifications. + Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines. + Ability to travel. + Must meet standards to qualify for and maintain the company's vehicle driving privileges as outlined in the Company's Motor Vehicle Safety Policy. + Valid driver's license required. This job posting will remain open a minimum of 72 hours and on an ongoing basis until filled. EEO/Disabled/Veterans
