Natural Gas Meter Mechanic

In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and inspecting natural gas meters and related equipment in the field. Responsibilities Install, calibrate, and replace natural gas meters in accordance with safety protocols and industry standards Perform routine inspections and maintenance on meters to ensure accuracy and operational integrity Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and low voltage issues related to metering equipment using hand tools, power tools, and specialized testing devices Conduct utility locating to identify underground infrastructure before excavation or repair work Repair or replace faulty equipment, including cabling, electrical components, and mechanical parts using appropriate tools and techniques Utilize bucket trucks and other field service equipment to access meters in elevated or hard-to-reach locations Document all work performed accurately in maintenance logs and reports while adhering to safety regulations Experience Proven experience working with utility locating, equipment repair, electrical systems, or mechanical maintenance in a field service environment Familiarity with low voltage electrical systems and cabling installation or repair processes Hands-on experience operating bucket trucks and using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively Knowledge of natural gas metering systems, including installation standards and safety procedures is preferred Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues quickly and implement effective solutions Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining a high level of safety awareness Join us to make a difference by ensuring the safe delivery of natural gas through expert maintenance and repair.
