Position Summary:
The Senior Field Service Engineer (SFSE) provides mechanical and electromechanical support to Vanderlande customer sites, with a primary focus on the commissioning and launch of new facilities. This role involves working closely with customer teams in a consultative capacity to troubleshoot issues, restore operations, perform root cause analysis, and drive continuous system improvements. Occasional support for existing sites may also be required.
Key Responsibilities:
Troubleshoot and resolve incidents involving Vanderlande-supplied equipment Collaborate with customer personnel to perform system maintenance activities Conduct mechanical system health checks, inspections, and audits Execute emergency and corrective maintenance as needed Serve as the primary liaison between customer sites and Vanderlande on electromechanical matters. Manage, document, and escalate technical issues in accordance with established processes Prepare detailed incident reports, summaries, and technical documentation
Required Education & Experience:
Technical degree or equivalent experience in a relevant discipline, such as mechatronics, electromechanical engineering, or field service/maintenance technology.
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field 5+ years of experience supporting material handling or automated systems

Travel & Work Environment:
This position is primarily focused on launching new customer facilities across North America. The role requires extensive travel (approximately 75%-100%), often on short-term assignments.
