Join our team as a Field Service Engineer supporting advanced injection molding systems across North America. In this role, you'll be the expert customers rely on to keep their operations running—commissioning new equipment, diagnosing and resolving technical issues, and delivering hands‑on training that makes an immediate impact. This position offers significant autonomy, variety, and the opportunity to work with cutting‑edge machinery in diverse manufacturing environments. This is a travel‑intensive position , with overnight travel by air or automobile primarily Monday - Friday. Most work occurs at customer facilities across the U.S. and Canada. This is a work‑from‑home position when not traveling.
Ideal Candidate Location:
Within ~1.5 hours of Chicago, IL (e.g., Milwaukee or Janesville, WI). Applicants from Madison, WI are also welcome to apply.
Expenses:
All travel expenses covered, including per diem and IRS mileage reimbursement. Essential Functions Technical Responsibilities Troubleshoot electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues on new and used injection molding machinery Commission new injection molding machines, including start‑up, process support, and optimization Provide hands‑on operator and maintenance training at customer sites Maintain installation logs for machine builds 1000‑ton and larger Follow all safety guidelines during installation and service activities Customer & Communication Responsibilities Serve as the company's on‑site representative, ensuring customer issues are resolved quickly and professionally Keep customers and internal teams informed of installation progress, service activities, and next steps Documentation & Reporting Prepare clear, accurate, and timely field service reports and expense reports Communicate service findings and recommendations to management and customers Required Experience & Education Associate's degree in Mechanical, Industrial, or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent experience 5+ years of field service or injection molding troubleshooting experience Strong understanding of injection molding process parameters Ability to read electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics Skilled with hand tools and diagnostic equipment Proficient with Windows applications Reliable personal vehicle for travel to customer sites OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred
